Gouache Painting: Boston Terrier Commissioned Portrait
Here is a gouache commissioned portrait painting of Joey, a smart-as-heck, funny loving Boston Terrier. I so enjoy doing commissioned portraits, capturing the personality of the subject. The eyes, in my opinion, are critical. Doesn’t matter if the subject has claws, hooves, paws or fingers.
Please contact me at artsesue@hotmail.com if you’d like to commission a portrait in gouache, acrylic or pencil. Get a piece of original art you’ll treasure for a lifetime!
Acrylic Painting: Arabian Horse
This acrylic painting was so much fun to do! Of course, as some of you may know, I’m partial to painting and drawing things that are alive (especially if they have eyeballs) but to capture the beauty, elegance and power of horses, ……well, it’s just a treat. Prints of this acrylic painting, on either paper or canvas, are available at http://www.fineartamerica.com/profiles/suzanne-schaefer.html
Computer Art/Zanny Rants Now On Zazzle
I created this little character named Zanny, a snarky, rather outspoken baby boomer, on my computer and have a blog with the name Zanny Rants. Originally, I did the cartoons just to post on the blog, however…today I opened up a Zanny Rants store at Zazzle and I’m so excited. Haven’t yet got very many images uploaded ~ wish I could clone the worker bee in me ~ but I’ve been up all night figuring this out. It takes time to upload stuff when your computer is a dinosaur. I’ll be adding t-shirts, greeting cards, mugs, mousepads and magnets, just to name a few of the products available.
Zazzle is pretty amazing. I hope you’ll checkout my store at http://www.zazzle.com/zannyrants* Here are a few samples of Zanny speaking her mind. Please let me know what you think of her!
Acrylic Painting/The Little Rooster Barnyard Brat
Here’s an acrylic painting of Mr. Hotshot, the barnyard brat of a rooster. Cute as all get out, and… as chickens go, one pushy little devil. I snapped a photo of him one day while he was struttin’ his stuff for all the girls. My intention was to capture that big attitude of his.
Gouache (opaque watercolor) Painting: In Honor of the Cutest Dog Ever
This is a gouache (opaque watercolor) painting of Keebler Alf, my dog. He died on Friday at the age of 18, and I miss him. I’m posting this painting in his honor.
Gouache Painting: A Hound at the Horse Show
This is a gouache (opaque watercolor) painting of a beautiful hound dog (I’m not sure what breed) sitting in front of us on the lawn at the recent horse show. She, obviously, could have cared less about what the horses were doing and kept staring at the kids in our group as if to say “Oh please, let’s go play.”
Acrylic Equine Portrait Painting: Windbreaker
Here’s a commissioned acrylic portrait painting of this incredible stallion, Windbreaker. The day I went with camera in hand to take a series of photos of him, he seemed to instinctively know he was a star, almost as if he was striking various “poses” for me.
Gouache Painting: Along the Ocean’s Edge/A Day at the Beach
Here’s a gouache painting that needs no explanation! Can you hear the seagulls or the ocean? I hope so. I do love the beach.
Gouache (Opaque Watercolor) Portrait Painting: Yorkshire Terrier
Here’s an example of the portrait work I do… a gouache watercolor painting of Moxie, the little Yorkshire Terrier with a big terrier attitude. She has no clue she’s 3 inches off the ground! I love that little dog.
Please feel free to contact me at artsesue@hotmail.com to order a portrait of your house, your horse or your honey! (Or anything else you’d like drawn or painted. You can check out my drawings at www.graphitegoddess.com. )
Acrylic Painting: Framed Northwest Indian Art/Bear Totem
I have some of the best neighbors on the planet, and one of them is crazy about Northwest Indian art, so I did some research on the subject and came up with this little 4 x 6 inch acrylic painting for her. The bear itself is varnished with gloss varnish, the background is a matt finish. The frame was painted with special paint that has mica flecks in it and has a reflective quality to it. Don’t know if you can see all that clearly in the photograph or not. I’d be happy to make one for you too! Just contact me (artsesue@hotmail.com) and let me know what you’d like. Great original gift idea at not a huge cost!
